ABOUT

I am an educator, art historian, an artist and metalsmith. I hold a Ph.D. in Aesthetics and Art History, an MFA in Graphic Design and Media Arts, and an MA in Art History. I have taught art, design, and art history at the college level for more than twenty years.

My work has moved through graphic design, photography, digital media, and installation. More recently, I have returned to a longtime passion for jewelry making and metalsmithing, developing a studio practice centered on traditional fabrication, and historical techniques. I also use contemporary tools, including 3D modeling and printing.

Teaching continues to be an important part of what I do. I currently teach art, design, art history, and metalsmithing, while continuing to develop my own work through research and studio practice.
